QUAFF Mentorship Program

As announced at the last couple QUAFF general meetings, we’re going to be running the mentorship program back again for 2026.  While the deadline to sign up was in December prior to the Holiday Party – we still encourage anyone interested in brewing with QUAFF members to reach out through this channel and join in the fun.

The idea behind the program is essentially one of a “brew buddy” to facilitate getting QUAFF members brewing together to share knowledge and ideas with one another, to ultimately promote learning and camaraderie within the club.

For 2026, we have added a new feature to the program: “brewtorial” sessions.  Scheduled a few times throughout the year, a mentor will host a brew session that is open for anyone in the mentorship program to drop by and be a part of.  I have commitments from mentors already to host brewtorials in Lemon Grove (reigning QUAFF Homebrewer of the Year Jeffry Battles), in Poway (incoming QUAFF Vice President John Bell), and in Clairemont (yours truly), and I am hoping to add one or two more before we get into setting dates.

So if you’d like to get paired up with a mentor/mentee to brew with a couple times next year, and be invited to these brewtorials, I strongly encourage you to please reach out to me in person or via email: dougiedigital@gmail.com
